Charles Donnelly is the Station Commander of Heimdall Jump Station and Hanna Donnelly's father.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Charles Donnelly adored his daughter, and taught her skills such as military strategy and martial arts. By his communications with Hanna, he loves her dearly and wants to keep her safe above all else. He's also willing to spend as much money on her as is needed, seeing how he gives her a generous allowance and even extra so that she can buy a Danae Matresco jumpsuit.

As a commander Donnelly is a responsible leader, and clever strategist, staying cool and calm even when the Heimdall falls under attack, knowing how to manage the people under his command, and teaching Hanna everything he knows. Hanna also recalls him practicing his Terra Day speech enough times that she knows it by heart, and when he ends up giving it, he's met with applause and approval.

GEMINA: The ILLUMINAE Files_02[edit | edit source]

Charles Donnelly is introduced through WhisperNET conversations with coworker Isaac Grant (Kady Grant's father), where he gives Grant orders and regulates the activities on Heimdall Jump Station.[3] Several conversations with Hanna Donnelly, his daughter, are featured as well, where he appears to be strict, yet kind and loving towards her.[4]

He doesn't appear much until the beginning of the Terra Day attack, where he is immediately shot in the head by Travis Falk.[2]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • He's described to have played many high-intensity and thinking games like fighting sims and chess with Hanna and discussing military tactics together, honing the strategist within her.
  • While Hanna and Jackson Merrick were dating, Merrick was in charge of communications. He would block Hanna's personal locator beacon (PLoB) regularly so that Mr. Donnely wouldn't suspect that his daughter was with Nik Malikov buying dust.
